About The Designer
Meet Lindsey
An artist from the start.
Hi! Lindsey here! I’m the artist and entrepreneur who dreamed of and created Palm Beach Wild. I live in South Florida living a life shaped by my love for the Lord. I have been so blessed in my life, and I am excited to share some of my love of life with you by means of these gifts. I’ve always seen life through an artistic lens, and now it's time to discover the wild of Palm Beach County.
Since I was 22 years old, I was a single mom figuring it out one day at a time. I worked, I showed up, and at night and on weekends I did schoolwork — earning my first degree, an Associate Degree in Business Management, while they slept. We stayed close to our family in the Midwest, built our little life, and I poured everything I had into the two of them and then my career.
Then something unexpected happened.
A children's book author discovered the caricatures I had been drawing of his daughter and her preschool classmates. He complimented my work and suggested I do that “for real.” I had always wanted to pursue an art degree, but I had convinced myself it was too risky. This interaction was all I needed to be motivated to go back to school for what I'd always wanted to do, art.
I went to Purdue University and studied Visual Communication Design with a minor in Spanish and a minor in Global Studies. Along the way I studied abroad in Spain and Colombia, fell deeply in love with the Spanish language and Latin culture, and discovered that art and storytelling could take you places you'd never imagined. I came home with a Bachelors degree, a new way of seeing the world, and a creative practice that finally had a name.
Years pass in the Midwest as the kids become adults, but I’d had my eye on a place I'd been escaping to the past several years — a little slice of paradise where my parents have planted their roots. Shortly after becoming an empty-nester, I packed up and moved to Palm Beach County. Not as a visitor this time. For good.
The same instinct that drew me to those caricatures, that pulled me through sleepless nights, that sent me to Spain and Colombia chasing life and culture — it's all here now, in every simmer blend, in every composition, in every piece I arrange by hand. Palm Beach Wild isn't a second act. It's the whole story finally coming together in God's hands, and I couldn't be more thankful. God bless this beautiful earth!
